Micro Nonwoven

Sorbent

Premium Sorbent Nonwoven Fabrics

We develop multi-layered sorbent solutions for industrial liquid control by integrating the superior absorption capability and resilient structure of Meltblown fabrics, which maintain their form, with our advanced generation ultrasonic bonding technology.

On our 160 cm wide modern ultrasonic bonding line, we have the capability to laminate up to 6 different layers of Meltblown fabric. Thanks to our online perforation system, we offer both transverse and longitudinal perforation options, while also providing single-sheet cutting options upon request. Our sorbent products offer an ideal structure for the management of hazardous liquids, supporting maximum safety standards in work areas. They exhibit performance beyond conventional absorbent materials with features such as practical use, flame retardancy, optimized storage, and recyclability.

Sorbent Product Advantages

Our sorbents produced with Meltblown technology are offered in both roll and sheet formats with various layer and pattern configurations.

Our sorbent solutions trap liquids very quickly and at high rates thanks to the large surface area provided by the micron-scale fiber structure of the Meltblown fabric. In structures combined with multi-layer ultrasonic bonding technique, absorption capacity and mechanical strength increase simultaneously as the number of layers increases.

They are preferred in a wide range of applications such as under-machine leak management on factory floors, occupational safety practices, chemical spill response, and medical liquid control. Our hydrophobic versions provide a strategic advantage in marine and port pollution (marine type applications) operations as they repel water and only absorb oil and hydrocarbon-based liquids.

Our perforated roll form allows users the ease of tearing off as much as they need. In sheet form, they can be supplied as pre-cut pads from a minimum of 20 cm to a maximum of 60 cm. The Dimple and Little Dot pattern alternatives we offer in both forms are optimized for different retention and absorption levels.

Areas of Use

Industrial walk-on pads (factory and workshop floors), under-machine protective pads, indoor liquid control, medical liquid absorption solutions, chemical spill prevention pads, marine-type sea pollution response products, industrial cleaning equipment.

Frequently Asked Questions

01. How does the number of layers in sorbent products affect sorption performance?

Each additional Meltblown layer increases the absorption capacity by increasing the total fiber surface area. A 2-layer pad is sufficient for light leaks, while 4-6 layer constructions offer ideal performance for heavy industrial leaks and chemical response applications. Together with our technical team, we can determine the optimum number of layers according to the amount of absorption required by your application.

Standard sorbent products absorb all liquids, both water and oil based, and are suitable for indoor and general purpose use. Hydrophobic sorbent products repel water and absorb only oil and hydrocarbon based liquids. This feature provides a critical advantage in marine applications such as collecting oil pollution floating on the sea surface, harbor and coastal cleaning.

Both patterns are dot patterns that join the fabric layers during ultrasonic bonding. The Dimple pattern creates larger and sparser bonding dots, giving the fabric high bulkiness and absorption capacity. The Little Dot pattern, on the other hand, provides more homogeneous surface distribution and high mechanical strength with denser and finer bonding dots. The appropriate pattern is selected according to whether the priority of the application is absorption or durability.
